Edo is a large land in Japan and the only area where the bugs doesn't rule over. Edo is the home to the Mushibugyo who protect the land from the bug monsters.
Background[]
In the 6th year of the Kyouhou era (year 1721), by the order of Tokugawa Yoshimune, the 8th Shogun of the Tokugawa Shogunate of Japan, a "suggestion box" was made and put in Edo for the people to tell what they wanted. One of the many suggestion said that they wanted a group to protect them from the monster bugs and the Mushibugyo was made to protect Edo from the bug monsters.
